Printing

Splitter Studio prints through the standard Windows printing workflow using the printers and drivers already installed on your machine.

What you control

Before a job starts you choose:

• Printer
• Paper size - matching your tiling layout
• Orientation
• Scale / fit behavior
• Print quality
• Copies

Tiles are then sent sequentially, sheet by sheet, in label order (A1, A2, A3…), so stacks come off the printer ready to organize.

Printer capabilities vary

No tiling application can promise universal printer behavior. Paper handling, margins, color output and duplex support differ between models and drivers. Splitter Studio works with what Windows and your driver report - including the driver’s printable area, so layouts respect your printer’s real no-print border rather than an assumption.

Practical tips

• Print one test tile before committing to a full poster run.
• Use the same paper size setting in Splitter Studio and the driver - mismatches cause scaling.
• For photo posters, use the highest quality setting and matching paper stock.

When a job stops

Paper jams and empty cartridges happen mid-poster. Retry reprints a single failed sheet; resume continues exactly where the queue stopped. See Troubleshooting.
