Splitter Studio is a professional native Windows desktop application for preparing oversized images for tiled printing. It divides a large image into precisely calculated tiles so you can print a poster across multiple sheets - A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, Letter, Legal, Tabloid, Ledger or custom sizes - and assemble it at full size.

No. Splitter Studio is a native WinUI 3 Windows application. The website you are on is only the official product website - it explains the app and provides downloads. It never processes images.

No. The installer is fully self-contained - the .NET 10 runtime and Windows App SDK components ship inside it. Download, install, launch. No developer tools of any kind.

No. The application is local-first: image analysis, tiling, export and printing all happen on your computer. There is no upload step, no account, and this website never asks for your files. An internet connection is not required for any core feature.

No. Every tile is extracted directly from the original image at exact pixel coordinates - never from the preview, a screenshot or a resized copy. Your original file is never modified. If your source resolution is lower than the target DPI, the app warns you instead of silently upscaling.

You don’t have to calculate anything. Enter your final poster size and Splitter Studio derives the sheet grid - or open the Recommended Layouts panel, which lists the most practical grid options for your image and paper (fewest sheets, least waste) and lets you apply one with a click.

Yes. Overlap (0-10 mm or custom), bleed with edge extension, crop marks, registration marks, center marks, trim lines and tile labels (A1-style, 1-2-3, 01-02, R1C1 or none) are all independently controlled. Overlap strips are highlighted in the live preview so you know exactly what to trim.

Yes - and much larger. Set the final size in mm, cm or inches and the app calculates rows, columns, sheets, printable area and effective DPI. It warns you when the source resolution is below the requested DPI instead of producing soft output silently.

Tiles print through the real Windows printing subsystem at 100% scale (Actual Size) - the app deliberately refuses to scale your tiles, because fit-to-page would change the physical dimensions of the poster. The print queue tracks each sheet with honest status from the Windows spooler: submitted, spooling, printing, completed, failed or unknown - it never claims a sheet printed when it cannot know.

Printing stops at the failed tile. You can retry that tile, skip it, or continue with the rest - the queue never forces you to restart a 25-sheet job from the beginning.

Yes. Export as PNG (lossless default), JPEG or TIFF, individually or as a ZIP package that also includes a contact sheet, an assembly map and a print-instructions PDF with trimming guidance - ready to hand to a print shop.

Yes. Projects save the entire configuration - source image reference, poster size, grid, paper, DPI, margins, overlap, bleed, marks, labels, export format and printer selection - as a versioned .splitterproject file you can reopen anytime.

Splitter Studio prints through the standard Windows print system, so it works with any printer Windows can see. Borderless printing is treated as an explicit opt-in because not every printer supports it - the app never assumes capabilities your driver does not expose.

The installer is not yet code-signed. Click “More info” → “Run anyway”. Before you do, you can verify the file: the SHA-256 checksum is published on the download page alongside a public VirusTotal report, so you can confirm the installer you downloaded is exactly the one we built.
