Features
Everything between your image and the wall.
Splitter Studio is a complete print-preparation workflow: physical dimensions, smart tiling, honest resolution checks, professional marks, organized printing and flexible export.
Exact physical dimensions
Splitter Studio is built around real-world measurements rather than “split pixels into equal rectangles.” Millimeters, centimeters, inches, pixels and DPI are all first-class units in every calculation.
- Final poster sizes in inches, mm or cm
- Output resolution targets in DPI
- Margins, overlap and bleed in millimeters
- Sheet counts derived from printable area - not guesses
Example calculation
Every number in the workflow traces back to a real measurement.
Smart tiling - automatic or manual
Let Splitter Studio calculate rows, columns, sheet count, paper orientation and final dimensions automatically - or take manual control when a specific layout matters more than efficiency.
- Automatic layout optimized for your paper
- Manual rows / columns for deliberate compositions
- Portrait or landscape orientation per job
- Custom paper sizes alongside A-series, Letter, Legal and Tabloid presets
Layout parameters
Your original stays your original.
Final tiles are generated directly from the original image by exact region extraction - never re-saved through previews, thumbnails or screenshots that quietly destroy quality.
How Splitter Studio works
Not how Splitter Studio works
Professional print preparation
The details that separate a poster that assembles cleanly from a pile of almost-fitting paper.
- Margins & printable area
- Every printer has a no-print border. Layouts respect your driver’s printable area so nothing gets clipped.
- Overlap
- Adjacent tiles share a printed strip, so sheets can be aligned without perfectly straight cuts.
- Bleed
- Extra image beyond the trim line keeps edges solid after trimming.
- Crop & trim marks
- Corner and edge ticks show exactly where to cut and align.
- Tile labels
- A1…D3-style identifiers on every sheet make assembly unambiguous.
See it before you print it.
The interactive preview shows the full poster with its tile grid, paper boundaries, printable area, overlap and crop marks. Zoom in, inspect any tile, and confirm the plan before committing twenty-five sheets to paper.
Native Windows printing
Splitter Studio integrates with the Windows printing workflow: select a printer, set paper, orientation, scale, quality and copies, then send tiles sequentially - without leaving the application.
Printer capabilities vary. Splitter Studio uses the capabilities exposed by Windows and your printer driver rather than assuming universal support.
Designed for real printers
- Respects driver-reported printable area
- Sequential multi-sheet jobs
- Works with ordinary inkjets and lasers
Queue, retry, resume
A twelve-sheet poster shouldn’t restart because sheet nine jammed. Splitter Studio tracks each tile’s status so you can retry a single page, resume where you left off, or skip ahead - large jobs stay organized instead of becoming a manual chore.
- Per-tile status: printed, printing, ready
- Retry an individual failed sheet
- Resume interrupted posters

Save your work
A poster project is more than an image file. Save the complete setup and reopen it exactly as you left it - next month’s reprint takes seconds.
Project files contain
Everything needed to reproduce the job - except the source image itself, which stays wherever you keep it.
Export instead of print
Generate the full-resolution tiles without printing immediately: export PNG, JPEG or TIFF files (where supported), packaged with an assembly map and instructions as a ZIP - ready for a print shop, another machine, or later.
*Where supported.
Typical handoff
- poster.zip
- ├─ A1.png … D3.png
